The Regiments in 1914

At the outbreak of the Great War there were three Household Cavalry regiments, seven regiments of Dragoon Guards (originaly known as Regiments of Horse) and 21 regiments of what originaly were Dragoons, but a number of them had been converted to Hussars or Lancers. A total of 31 regiments.
