The Regular Cavalry and Royal Armoured Corps of the British Army

The Reorganisation of 1922

After the Great War it was clear that less cavalry would be needed in the future. For the first time this was not done by disbanding the highest numbered ones, but my amalgamating pairs of regiments.

The Tank Corps is included here because, like the cavalry, it would become part of the Royal Armoured Corps.
