The PANDA Battalions

FlagCanada-1921

In 1951 fifteen regiments got companies for the Active Force. They were designated "E" and "F" Company. Later in the year "E" Companies formed three Battalions (Rifle, Highland and Infantry) for service in Germany with NATO. "F" Companies were the reinforcement companies. In 1952 "F" Companies formed the second batallions in their category for service in Korea with UNO. The battalions were called PANDA (Pacific and Atlantic) Battalions.

In 1953 these six battalions became Active Force battalions of Reserve Force regiments.
